The Ratón Pérez collection began to take shape in 2014 thanks to citizen collaboration, through tooth collection campaigns carried out throughout Spain, coordinated by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+I) and the Dental Anthropology Group (GAD) of CENIEH.
These campaigns aim to solve the difficulty of obtaining deciduous teeth for research in the field of human evolution, odontology and forensic anthropology, among others, as well as to involve society in such research through donations. In addition, donors have the opportunity to learn about the research in the didactic workshops that are held in parallel to these campaigns.
